the codes means the kind of engine the car came with for example, the K code was a HiPo 289 V8 from 1965-1967. The a code was a 289 4V.
The b code ive never heard of, the J code was a 4V 302. One of the Rarest mustangs is the M code along with the Z code,R code, and the O code, the R code and the O codes are The cobra jets and the Super cobra jets. The Z code is the 428 Boss(very rare.) The M code is the 351 Cleavland, which is a hard car to find that has matching numbers.
